Celebrating Time Together: Axe Throwing

Celebrating Time Together: Axe Throwing

Looking for a fun Girls’ Night Out?  We found another one:  axe throwing!  In fact, it would be a great group outing, family activity, or even work event.

We recently surprised our friend with this fun night out to celebrate her birthday.  We were looking for an indoor activity that wouldn’t be too crowded and we really lucked out!  We reserved a private axe throwing pit at Odin’s Keep Axe House.  We arrived to find a large event space full of all sorts of fun games, including a pool table, corn hole, electronic connect 4, pac man, extra large jenga, and even extra large uno.  The perimeter of the space is lined with 12 axe throwing pits.  We were assigned our own axe guide who provided us with safety instructions and then led us through several axe throwing games.  It was great fun trying to “stick” the axe and we all had success a number of times.

Odin’s Keep Axe House has a bar with beer, wine, and other drinks available for purchase in bottles and cans. There is also a juke box, which we controlled for the night with a bunch of throwback hits.  Another cool part of the night is the ability to bring in food.  We were assigned a large table with our throwing pit and two friends provided us with yummy appetizers, snacks, and cupcakes.

For us, it is just fun to be together, but the axe throwing aspect and the venue itself enhanced the festive feel of the night.  We will definitely return in the future.  In the meantime, we are planning to take our kids this weekend.
